Regular assessment

Homework and review

Children are encouraged to build consistency outside the classroom.

Parent communication

Families receive guidance about progress and next steps.

Our 11+ preparation approach

We use a staged process so children are not rushed into test practice before they have developed the knowledge and confidence required.

1. Assess

Understand the child’s current level and identify strengths and gaps.

2. Place

Recommend the most suitable group based on assessment and readiness.

3. Teach

Build skills through structured lessons across English, Maths, VR and NVR.

4. Practise

Use homework, timed questions and review to strengthen performance.

5. Prepare

Move towards exam technique, mock-style work and confidence building.

Important: Grammar-school entry is competitive. Consistent attendance, regular homework and parental support at home are important parts of successful preparation.
